Probably uncommon knowledge around here but the Dead had a show cancelled in South France so they decided to play a couple off the radar shows at a small club in Amsterdam on borrowed equipment with a acoustic set and a Hully Gully and the first Lovelight in years and someone recorded the whole show on video and the night before?

Talk about a garage band, they arrived, however their equipment didn't, almost like some of the April Fools openers?

During 1981 - 1982 we considered this performance a nugget for it was so far outside of the mainstream show.

Long live the Dead!

Goes to show that you don't need to hunt down the exact same amps/guitars/PA etc to sound like the Dead...you just need to be the Dead.

What is that knock-off Fender like thing Jerry is playing? Wier should have kept that Telecaster and Peavey amp as it has a nice fat slide tone.

It's a knock-off Fender Strat,

Yamaha 1000 Sunburst.
